Moscow Blockchain International Meetup to discuss bitcoin scaling

Moscow will be hosting an open meeting on 21 January 2017 that will discuss on ways of scaling bitcoin and topics on blockchain technology.

Blockchain International Meetup’ will have interactions on the blockchain technology, practical demonstration of working on Lightning Network, future of Litecoin in the light of Lightning Network, among others. The meetup will have an open meeting to discuss ways of scaling bitcoin as well as other blockchain assets and the technology.

During the interaction on blockchain, there will be a motivational part, a historical perspective, review of implementation strategies, and comparison of the technical details of the pair, among others.

The practical demo on Lightning Network will include two parts – theoretical and practical. In the theory part, intro on bitcoin and disclosure of scaling problems will be covered. There will also be a brief introduction on Lightning Network and solution to scaling problems. The practical part will cover deploying a mini Lightning Network cluster in a test network ‘simnet’ including creation and launch of Alice Lightning Network node, creating and running of Bob Lightning Network node, creating a channel between Alice and Bob, among others.

The meetup speakers include eminent leaders and experts in the blockchain space including Andrew Samohvalov, an intern at the team Lightning Labs; Maxim Taldykin, blockchain enthusiast, and developer and Alexander Pankov, consultant blockchain developer.

With the support from ForkLog, BitNovosti, BlockchainRF, Blockchain.Community; the event partners and organizers include Blockchain International, Formal Methods, and Future.fintech. The admission for the meetup is free of charge.
