Melania Trump and Donald Trump have faced divorce rumors before. It was most reported when the scandal about Stormy Daniels and her relationship with the POTUS broke out last year.
The First Couple continued to face rumors about their personal lives that make their marriage really stressful. Recently, a new crisis has emerged as President Donald Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives. Despite the fact that he is still America’s leader, this will surely create a big impact on Melania and Donald’s relationship as husband and wife.
Melania and Donald signed a prenup
Divorce is something that the couple cannot do while they are still the First Couple. The White House has never had a divorce during a presidential term, and it is unlikely to happen with the Trumps as well although they fueled the rumors of marital troubles when the FLOTUS started skipping official trips with her husband, and they ride separately going to State of the Union.
However, when they step down from power, will they finally call it quits? If they do, what will happen when Melania and Donald Trump divorce?
It was said that Donald Trump did not risk his fortune in case he divorces Melania. To protect his wealth, there is a prenup agreement in place. It was said that this contract would also make the process fast and easy so they can break up without much fuss.
Donald also had this prenuptial contract with his previous marriages, and while this type of contract is not seen in a good way, it was said that in the case of Melania and Donald, this agreement actually made their marriage stronger.
“It’s a hard, painful, ugly tool,” New York Mag quoted Donald as saying while commenting on wedding prenup. “Believe me, there’s nothing fun about it. But there comes a time when you have to say, ‘Darling, I think you’re magnificent, and I care for you deeply, but if things don’t work out, this is what you’re going to get.’”
What are the agreements in the contract?
Donald and Melania Trump’s prenup agreement surely include money, child support, homes, and other valuables, but the exact content of their contract is not known. Even so, the media was able to get an idea of what the FLOTUS is getting when she divorces Donald based on the prenup that the POTUS signed in his second marriage to Maria Maples.
Vanity Fair was able to get a copy, and the publication described it as a Draconian marriage deal. Some of the things written there include the threat to cut off child support if the kid starts to work or join the army. Plus, there is also a non-disclosure policy where the woman cannot speak about her marriage in public.
