Humaniq to launch blockchain-powered financial inclusion app-lite at Rise Accelerator

Humaniq, a blockchain startup focused on financial inclusion, has announced that it will launch its blockchain-powered financial inclusion app while starting its first global meetup in London at the Rise London, a Fintech accelerator powered by Barclays, on 26 of July 2017.

The startup raised $5,163,000 in the public crowdsale of its HMQ token which concluded on 27 April 2017 and the following month announced that it is joining Barclays’ Rise Community.

Humaniq said that the product app will give the world’s unbanked population the chance to make payments with low fees, using simple biometric tech and a simple-to-use UI crypto wallet.

The new app offers a Blockchain and biometric solution that will give users a chat system alongside their wallet that consumes less data than messaging apps, making contacting people and sending them money cheaper and easier. While having the security of the Ethereum Blockchain ecosystem,” Anton Mozgovoy, Humaniq Technology Director said.

According to the official release, the Humaniq 'LITE' version of the app will be rolled out on Android on July 31st and will be the focus of a pilot program getting underway in Ghana, West Africa. This will mark the first time that HMQ tokens will become available to people downloading the app who register using its IP biometric identification.

"We want to tear down barriers to making simple financial transactions for people who have not been offered services by traditional financial players. With this in mind, the Humaniq lite app offers almost zero-cost transaction financial inclusion solutions. It is easy to use: you simply need a smartphone number of the person you are sending money to,” Dinis Guarda, CEO of Humaniq, said.

A 'PRO' version will be launched later in the year. It will be available on iOS and Android, and will have a full range of features for a wider audience.

Humaniq further announced that it will also launch a new website, which would provide information about the startup and its product rollout. It will also offer documentation on how to use the app to its full potential, and will allow users to access it offline once it is downloaded.

In addition, Humaniq will also unveil its financial inclusion app product road map for the next 6 months. The startup plans to provide the full-range of financial services in 2018 including micro-credit, business finance, insurance, an in-app marketplace for buying and selling.
