Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced that it has entered into a partnership with R3, the financial institution company that runs blockchain consortium, in a move to bring its open source platform Corda to Mission Critical HPE Systems.
The collaboration between HPE and R3 will bring the leading blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to the workloads in order to run at enterprise scale. The collaboration with HPE Labs, Mission Critical HPE Systems and R3 has created a proof-of-concept that showcases R3 Corda running on the HPE Integrity NonStop Platform. It delivers the resiliency and scalability enterprise customers demand as they bring their DLT applications into production.
The announcement also included a Blockchain Discovery Workshop that will help customers to leverage new DLT operating models and expertise in distributed-ledger, IoT, hybrid, and the-edge.
“HPE is excited to be adding DLT to its long history of innovation, so we can help customers meet the challenges they face as they grow and thrive,” the announcement read.
The attendees of HPE Discover 2017 workshop will be offered blockchain-related sessions on Days 2 and 3 of the event. These include Alliance session, where practical advice to prepare for the next big industry disruptor is given. The session will include panelists from PwC , Deloitte, DXC, and r3.
Also, there will be demos available during the Transformation Zone hours on the show floor including innovation in financial services, leading with blockchain technology, HPE’s Financial Services Experience, among others.
