‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13, Episode 16 Spoilers: “Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?" – Jackson Travel to Montana with April, Introduces Self to Father

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 16, titled “Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?" is set to follow Jackson as he travels to Montana with April to work on a new surgical case. In the process, he is set to introduce himself to his long lost father.

The synopsis for “Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?" posted on TV Guide states, “Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) must travel to Montana to operate on a young patient who requires a complex surgery. However, Jackson is having trouble concentrating on the task at hand, so April must step up and force him to focus.”

It seems that the upcoming episode will be drama-filled as Jackson and April take an out-of-town trip to see a new patient requiring complex surgery. Unfortunately, Jackson will find it hard to tackle the case without being distracted. April will do everything she can to help him focus on what they need to do.

According to Cartermatt, episode 16 may give Jackson and April the opportunity to rekindle their romance considering that the trip will give them some space to think about themselves as well as their relationship as they are ushered away to another state – far from the never ending conflicts over at Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital.

The promo also hints that Jackson is about to meet face to face with his father. The promo opens to April telling Jackson, “When are you gonna tell me that you found your father? Your long lost, deadbeat dad.” The next scene shows Jackson telling April, “He doesn’t know his own son,” to which April replies, “Then make him know you.”

The two are then seen walking towards what looks to be a log cabin. By the end of the promo, Jackson looks determined as he tells his father his true identity.

The previous episodes have been rife with rivalry between consultants, who have been split into two distinct groups ever since Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) came into their lives. According to the recap posted on Refinery 29, the previous episode saw Richard Webbers’ (James Pickens Jr.) loyal group of doctors slowly dissolving. Jackson was the only one left in the team, especially since Webber found Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) kissing Eliza by the end of the episode.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 16, titled “Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?" is scheduled to air on ABC on March 16, 2017. It was directed by Kevin McKidd and written by Elisabeth R. Finch. It will be followed by episode 17, titled "'Till I Hear It From You," scheduled to be released on March 23.
