SingularDTV, a blockchain entertainment studio, has announced its three-phase approach to building a decentralized entertainment economy on the Ethereum blockchain. 

Zach LeBeau, CEO of SingularDTV, detailed the roadmap in an online post. The three phases outlined in the post are:

Phase 1: the CODE (Centrally Organized Distributed Entity)

This phase includes the formation of the CODE structure and the launch of SingularDTV's tokenized ecosystem, two events that took place in 2016.  Finalized in May 2016, the CODE structure served as the foundation for the development of SingularDTV's economic model.  The CO, Centrally Organized portion of the CODE, is comprised of legacy business entities headquartered in Switzerland.  The DE, Distributed Entity, is comprised of the tokenized ecosystem of SNGLS tokens that launched on October 2, 2016.  The purpose of the CODE structure is to create a bridge between the legacy world that ushers ideas and assets onto the decentralized paradigm of Ethereum.

Phase 2 — The Consumption Rewards Model

In this phase, the CODE structure will be put to test when SingularDTV's platform launches applications in Q2 and Q4 of this year. This phase rewards users based on how much content is consumed and created on the SingularDTV platform. 

“Under our Consumption Rewards model, participants in the SingularDTV ecosystem are programmatically rewarded for consuming, creating and tracking content comp-&-activity”, LeBeau wrote.

This phase is intended to incentive usage and growth of its platform, ultimately leading to a free and decentralized entertainment economy described as "Phase 3." 

Phase 3 — A Decentralized Entertainment Industry

LeBeau envisions a truly decentralized entertainment industry free of gatekeepers, censorship, and intermediaries – a place which contributes to the unification of the world through creativity and entertainment.

“Theoretically, once SNGLS tokens can be used as gas to push its smart contracts through the SingularDTV network, SingularDTV can become a completely free platform, where the only value being exchanged is between the content creators and their audience. At that point in time — when the time is right — SingularDTV will remove itself from the position of surrogate intermediary and become just another channel/brand in the decentralized entertainment industry it helped to build.”
