Blockchain experts from IBM to speak at K(NO)W Identity Conference in Washington D.C.

IBM announced that two of its blockchain experts will speak at the K(NO)W Identity Conference taking place May 15-17, 2017 in Washington, D.C.

Jerry Cuomo, Vice President, Blockchain Technology, IBM, and Jai Arun, Program Director, Blockchain and Identity Solutions will be speaking during the conference.

Cuomo is leading the creation of nascent business unit in order to define IBM's blockchain strategy, offerings and customer engagement approach.

Cuomo will be speaking on a panel titled ‘Trusted Digital Identity Networks: A Journey Towards Self-Sovereign Identity’ during the conference, that aims to discuss on how a self-sovereign identity model would benefit consumers and help solve the challenges of identity breaches for business. The panel will see Chuck Hounsell, SVP, Payments, TD Bank and Greg Wolfond, CEO, Securekey Technologies Inc. and other delegates, who will explore the present model of digital identity.

On the other hand, Arun will be speaking on the panel ‘Identity on Blockchains’ that will explore the practical challenges and opportunities of different blockchain and DLT’s for identity management. The panel will also see Katherine Noall, CEO, ExistenceID, Susan Poole, Advisor, Mooti Digital Identity, Timothy Ruff, CEO, Evernym, Inc. and Steve Wilson, VP and Principal Analyst, Constellation Research.

The K(NO)W Identity Conference will enable attendees to have the opportunity to collaborate and connect with key stakeholders from the companies, educational institutions, government agencies, and development organizations, with an aim to shape the future of identity.
