DECENT, a blockchain-based digital content distribution platform, has announced that it will officially launch its platform on 30 June 2017.
The platform’s journey started in early 2016 when it presented its prototype. This was followed by a highly successful ICO later in the year in which it raised 5,881 BTC (equivalent to $4,126,290.77 at that time).
According to the official announcement, the Mainnet release follows two Testnet releases:
- Testnet #1 “Caesar” launched in March
- Testnet #2 “Alberti” in May 2017
These were available to subscribed users who helped in testing and refining the platform.
“June 30th digital content distribution will be forever changed. “No middleman” is the biggest advantage for our users and ensures instant payment from content consumer to content owner and allows for a better overall user experience for everyone. And, it’s only the beginning. New ideas and applications for the technology are being worked on and dreamed of as we speak”, DECENT said.
In a separate announcement, DECENT confirmed that the ICO Reclaim process has started. Following few doubts expressed by users on social media, DECENT officially stated:
“We are also confirming that https://icoreclaim.decentgo.com/ is the official page of DECENT ICO Reclaim Portal. Decentgo.com will be an official domain of the first application built on top of DECENT Blockchain - DECENT GO.”
