Blockchain Ad Network AdEx partners with NEO smart contracts system

AdEx Network, a blockchain-based decentralized ad network, has announced its technical partnership with the smart economy platform NEO, which recently rebranded from Antshares.

The announcement comes on the heels of AdEx Core release - the base smart contract that will power the advertising network. AdEx said that it decided to port AdEx Core to NEO after it explored the NEO smart contract system and found it to be very well-designed and more beneficial for its operations.

“We see the huge potential of NEO and this is why we are aiming at becoming the first NEO-based DApp,” said Ivo Georgiev, CEO and founder of AdEx. “We are exciting about porting the AdEx core as we are convinced this will increase the efficiency of our advertising network.”

The AdEx team believes that the collaboration will also be favorable for the NEO ecosystem, being one of the first decentralized applications (DApps) to ever run on NEO.

“We are looking forward to AdEx moving its core to the NEO ecosystem. We are positive that DApps will help us push the Smart Economy further, and AdEx is an excellent trailblazer for this,” commented Tony Tao, Secretary-general of NEO Council.

The collaboration with NEO follows AdEx’s partnerships with video entertainment publisher Stremio and serial entrepreneur Richard D. Titus, one of the WIRED 100.

In its official release, AdEx said that it is currently working on releasing a prototype of its service. It expects the prototype to be presented a few months earlier than its planned release in February 2018.
