“Supernatural” had shocked fans when it ended its 12th season with a couple of major character deaths. Although death and resurrection can be pretty achievable in a TV series such as “Supernatural,” at least one of them has already declared that there wouldn’t be a resurrection.
When co-executive producer Jim Michaels assured a fan on Twitter who would like to see more of Crowley, the fan-favorite anti-hero and ex “King of Hell,” Mark Sheppard, who played the character, dashed any hopes of fans seeing him in the show in the future, Screenrant said.
He replied, “@TheJimMichaels With all due respect, your comment is inaccurate and misleading to the fans. There are NO plans to have me return to SPN at ANY juncture.”
Meanwhile, some good news! The show has been renewed for Season 13, and Den of Geek said that the show is expected to be renewed next year for a few more seasons, thanks to its loyal fanbase. It is also likely because the show’s story arcs has fascinated old and new fans alike. As Lucifer’s son arises in Jack, and all of the Winchester brothers’ allies have either died or went on another universe, it is most likely that Jack’s character development will be the inspiration of the show’s 13th installment, especially when he comes in full power.
“The season ended with Sam nervously approaching Jack, and although he has a fully-grown body, he will probably need some help navigating the world – will Sam and Dean be the ones to try and raise (and restrain) the Nephilim? Originally they wanted to destroy him, but they have no way of overpowering him now (especially with the Colt destroyed and Rowena dead),” Rose Moore for the site said.
