Park Shin Hye recently starred with Yoo Ah In for the movie called “#ALIVE.” Despite the coronavirus pandemic, this was released on theaters and returned a surprising result after garnering thousands of movie-goers on its opening day in South Korea.
The film was released in June since it was delayed for a few months. The original scheduled premiere was December but this was changed for some reason. Then the coronavirus pandemic happened so it was pushed again to the June 24.
Shin Hye’s movie on Netflix
Now, since Park Shin Hye and Yoo Ah In have international fans too, many of them were not able to watch “#ALIVE” to show their support. This is because it only premiered in Korea but a piece of good news came out this week and it was announced that this movie is coming to Netflix on Sept. 8.
The hit film will be added on the said streaming site platform and it is expected to draw more viewers from overseas. In the theaters, “#ALIVE” recorded more than one million moviegoers in the first five days since it opened. This is a great feat considering the fact that there is a pandemic as well.
The Slanted reported that Park Shin Hye’s movie with Yoo Ah In grossed a total of over $13.4 million so it is a certified blockbuster. The zombie-themed movie was based on the original Matt Naylor film called “ALONE” film. He also wrote the script and this was directed by Cho Il Yung.
Park Shin Hye’s next project
Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye will be appearing in a drama next. She was confirmed to be the lead actress in JTBC’s drama called “Sisyphus: The Myth.” The actress has started filming for this already and it is ongoing at this time.
Last year, OSEN reported that the 30-year-old actress was the top choice for the lead role in the said drama but her participation in it was only confirmed in July this year. There is no announcement but fans got to know that she accepted the role after Park Shin Hye posted a photo of herself with a coffee truck on the background.
In Korea, it is common for friends of the cast members in a drama to send food, coffee or refreshment trucks to the set to show their support. In this case, actress and model Lee Sungkyung sent a coffee truck to Park Shin Hye’s filming location of “Sisyphus: The Myth.”
