Park Shin Hye has a new labelmate, and it was revealed to be Kim Ji Won. The “Descendants of the Sun” star has recently signed with SALT Entertainment for an exclusive contract earlier this week.
SALT welcomes new family member
Star Today reported that the agency shared the news on Feb. 10, through an official statement. SALT Entertainment stated that it is happy that the actress chose to be managed by the same agency as Park Shin Hye.
“We are thankful for the newly-established connection with Kim Ji Won, who is receiving love from many people with her incomparable charms,” the statement reads. “We are very lucky with this opportunity to work with her. We will walk alongside her and provide our complete support not only in her projects but also in a way that will make her have an enjoyable personal life. We ask you to show lots of interest in her future career and send her warm support.”
Park Shin Hye and Kim Ji Won have worked together before so they can be considered friends. In 2013, both actresses acted in “The Heirs,” which can be considered as the latter’s breakout role as she received the New Star Award for her haughty character as an heiress.
Shin Hye talks about her “Call” movie
Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye has an upcoming film titled “Call,” and she recently shared why she chose to do it last year. It is a mystery thriller, a film genre that she will be doing for the first time, so she was asked why she deviated from her typical movie styles of romance or romantic comedy.
It was revealed that Park Shi Hye is playing Seo Yeon, a woman from 2019 who is receiving calls from a woman who lived in the same house in the year 1999. The caller is Young Sook, and she could be calling Seo Yeon because this woman from the present time wants to change the past.
Park Shin Hye filmed and completed the movie last year, but “Call” was only scheduled to premiere in March. Now, as for the actress’ reason to do this film, she explained, “I haven’t tried this movie genre yet and I picked ‘Call’ because I find Seo Yeon’s character very charming,” Soompi quoted the actress as saying. “She has a side to her that’s completely different from the upright characters I’ve played so far so it felt really new and made acting fun.”
