Mark Harmon is one of the most popular actors on TV and this is all thanks to his role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the “NCIS” series. The actor has been appearing in the show since it first aired 15 years ago and he is now one of the mainstay actors who never left his character.
Now, it was said that Mark Harmon who is also serving as one of the “NCIS” executive producers now has made his fortune for appearing continuously as Gibbs. His estimated net worth now is reportedly at $100 million and he was able to earn this much as he is said to be being paid over $500,000 per episode.
With this kind of salary, Mark Harmon is surely one of the highest paid TV actors and not just today but for an all-time record. His current salary is also way more than what the lead stars of his fantasy series “Game of Thrones” is getting.
As per Cheat Sheet, Mark Harmon’s more than $500,000 salary per episode is higher compared to Emilia Clarke’s fee. It was even said that this amount is actually just a partial total of what the veteran actor is actually receiving because if everything is factored since he also produces episodes of “NCIS,” it can all add up to at least $700,000 which is undoubtedly a staggering amount even today.
Meanwhile, Mark Harmon is expected to have more income next year because he will also be working for another drama based on John Sandford's “Prey” novel series. He will be its executive producer while also continuing to act as Gibbs in the “NCIS” police procedural drama. What’s more, he is expected to be on the show’s season 17 so it means that a new installment already awaits fans although CBS has not formally announced the series’ renewal yet.
