Xiaomi SU7 Fails After 39km, Company Offers Compensation and Replacement

Xiaomi SU7 towed for inspection after breaking down, with Xiaomi promising swift compensation.

In a recent setback, a Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle owned by Mr. Wen malfunctioned after just 39 kilometers, leading to significant customer dissatisfaction. Xiaomi has responded by offering compensation and agreeing to replace the vehicle as the incident escalated discussions on vehicle reliability.

Xiaomi SU7 Breakdown Raises Questions on Quality, Customer Seeks Immediate Replacement

According to Gizmochina, Mr. Wen, who had purchased the standard version of the Xiaomi SU7 car from the Xiaomi Auto Delivery Centre in Xiang'an, Xiamen City, was understandably shaken by the incident. The incident sparked a heated discussion about the reliability of the new vehicle, significantly impacting Mr. Wen's trust in Xiaomi.

Mr. Wen, in his chat with the after-sales support, clearly expressed his desire for a replacement vehicle. "I don't want a return, I want a new car. Can't you reschedule Youxian to produce one for me?" he asked the after-sales professionals.

The after-sales specialists notified the user that the vehicle needed to be returned to the factory for further analysis so that the company could determine the cause of the breakdown. He also stated that it was impossible to repair the car immediately. "The cause of the vehicle's failure needs to be returned to the factory for further analysis, and it is temporarily unable to be repaired."

The personnel informed him that the car would be returned to him following a thorough inspection. It will undoubtedly take time, but the corporation claims it is necessary to ensure the quality of the vehicles. The workers also apologized to the user for the unpleasant car-buying experience.

Xiaomi Commits to Replacement Amid High Demand, Offers Daily Compensation During Wait

However, Mr. Wen insisted on a replacement. Fortunately, following an internal application, Xiaomi after-sales workers offered the consumer a replacement. "If the original order number does not change, we will apply to schedule the production of new vehicles according to the original order number in the system."However, the personnel also stated that many users are placing orders, and the company cannot guarantee that the replacement will be delivered quickly.

Simply put, the corporation wants to figure out what caused their car to break down and work on it, but delivering the user a fast replacement is not now viable owing to excessive demand.

The corporation promised to compensate for mobility privileges (150 yuan in cash or an equivalent amount of points every day, optional) during the waiting period until the replacement automobile is delivered.
