Starbucks Japan Unveils Limited-Edition Frappuccinos for Valentine’s Day

Starbucks Japan invites coffee lovers and enthusiasts to embark on a flavorful journey this Valentine's Day.

Starbucks, the renowned coffee chain, is already gearing up for one of the most anticipated events on the calendar – Valentine's Day. To celebrate the season of love, Starbucks has introduced not one but two special limited-edition Frappuccinos.

According to SoraNews 24, these delightful beverages pay homage to the bittersweet nature of romance, offering a delectable blend of flavors to captivate coffee enthusiasts and embrace the essence of affection.

Captivating Pair of Frappuccinos

Both Frappuccinos draws inspiration from the classic French Opera Cake, a sumptuous confection consisting of layers of coffee syrup-soaked almond sponge interlaced with ganache and buttercream. Topped with a luscious chocolate glaze, these drinks epitomize elegance and indulgence, reports Trend Hunter.

Last year, Starbucks unveiled the critically acclaimed Opera Frappuccino, the dark and seductive member of this tantalizing duo, to celebrate Valentine's Day in Japan. This year, it is joined by the White Opera Frappuccino, which offers a contrasting yet equally enticing experience.

While both variants contain subtle hints of coffee and almond, the White Opera Frappuccino features a delightful blend of white chocolate and chocolate chips, showcasing a velvety smoothness. On the other hand, the Opera Frappuccino boasts rich dark chocolate and dark chocolate chips, providing a slightly bitter and intense flavor profile.

Indulge in a Symphony of Flavors

These enchanting Frappuccinos are adorned with whipped cream, crowned with a glossy chocolate glace topping, and beautifully sprinkled with sparkling gold powder. Immerse yourself in a symphony of flavors that will transport you to culinary bliss while embracing the bittersweet nuances of romance.

In addition to the delectable Frappuccinos, Starbucks presents a collection of ten chocolate-centric desserts. This assortment is a chocoholic's dream, from heavenly chocolate rice flour muffins to succulent chocolate chunk scones and luxurious chocolate cream doughnuts. The confections range from 211 yen (US$1.46) for chocolate chunk cookies to 2,350 yen for an exquisite tin of freeze-dried strawberries coated in luscious chocolate.

While chocolate brownies are available since 26 December, the rest of this delectable dessert range will be up for grabs starting from 17 January, except for the layered chocolate cake, which will tantalize taste buds from 31 January.

The limited-edition Frappuccinos will be available while supplies last, from 17 January to 14 February, for 790 yen for dine-in and 776 yen for takeout.
