Pizza Hut names new president of US business.

Pizza Hut has appointed a new executive to lead its business in the United States. Carl Loredo, the global chief marketing officer of The Wendy’s Company, is its new US business president.

Nation’s Restaurant News reported that Yum! Brands, the parent company of Pizza Hut, announced on Monday, May 6, that Juan Carlos “Carl” Loredo had joined the company, leaving his CMO role at Wendy’s, which he held since 2019. He will officially start his work at the pizza chain on June 3.

Main Responsibilities at Pizza Hut

As president of Pizza Hut’s US operations, Loredo would be in charge of the business’s overall performance in the region. He is expected to help turn Pizza Hut around, as it is currently struggling in its home market.

The new US president of the pizza chain has a lot to do to revive the brand in the territory by driving in more sales. Once Loredo takes the helm at Pizza Hut, he will directly report to the chain’s division chief executive officer, Aaron Powell.

“Carl comes to Pizza Hut with a strong track record of positioning brands for success and delivering results in highly competitive markets. He is adept at helping brands show up in novel and authentic ways at the right intersection of customer need and culture,” Powell said in a press release. “The Pizza Hut team is delighted to welcome Carl, who will bring a passion and focus that will take us forward to the brand’s next bright chapter.”

Veteran Executive From The Wendy’s Company

The incoming Pizza Hut US division’s president is a veteran executive who just left his CMO job at The Wendy’s Company. As he moves to the pizza chain, Lindsay Radkoski has been appointed to replace him as global marketing chief at the burger joint.

Loredo has been with Wendy’s for more than eight years and played a big role in growing the restaurant’s digital business. Restaurant Business noted that definitely, he is moving to Pizza Hut with a strong track record of positioning brands for success even in the highly competitive fast-food market.
