McDonald's Changes Up Its McCrispy; Adds New Cajun Chicken Sandwiches to the Menu

McDonald's introduces two limited-time McCrispy sandwiches.

McDonald's is set to release two new McCrispy sandwiches next week. On April 22, the burger joint will add Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy and Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy to the menu.

The new sandwiches will be available for a limited time at select McDonald's stores in the United States. The Southern-style sandwiches are upgraded versions of the original McCrispy Chicken sandwich, and Cajun lovers will like them.

New Food Items to Look Forward To

As per ComicBook, McDonald's rarely modifies its food items, mostly sticking to its tried-and-tested variety of burgers and other menu items. However, this month, the fast-food chain decided to shake up its popular McCrispy sandwich and release the Bacon Cajun Ranch and Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe, which will be tested in select McDonald's restaurants.

The Bacon Cajun Ranch is an upgraded McDonald's McCrispy chicken sandwich version. It features the same chicken patty but with added bacon, pickles, and the new Cajun ranch sauce. On the other hand, the Bacon Cajun McCrispy Deluxe has the same ingredients as the regular Bacon Cajun, but this version has tomatoes and lettuce.

In describing its new food items, the home of Big Mac said, "The bold, creamy, and spicy Cajun ranch sauce is sure to take your tastebuds to the next level. And don't even get us started on the applewood smoked bacon, crinkle cut pickles, and perfectly toasted potato roll - truly a perfect mouthwatering medley."

Where to Get the New McCrispys

McDonald's said the sandwiches would be available in select stores across the country, and one of the confirmed locations is in central Pennsylvania. According to PennLive, the restaurants in Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York will sell the new menus. Meanwhile, the expansion of the brand's McCrispy line comes when the company pushes to make its chicken sandwich a core part of the brand and one of the primary menu items.
