I am a clinical psychologist, registered since 2001 at the HPCSA. I teach and supervise on post graduate level, Honnors and Masters. My teaching are in the areas of psychological assessment and psychopathology. My Phd was done on the construction of a contextually appropriate screening tool to establish if preschoolers are emotionally and socially ready to enter formal education (Gr.1). I have received NRF grants to conduct research for the past 6 years. My fields of interest are psychological assessment, burnout and coping in higher education, early childhood development, school readiness, bereavement, trauma, depression, anxiety and emotional and social adjustment challenges in children.
