Sony Shows Off What Its ‘PS4 VR’ Bundle Contains

Sony’s highly anticipated “PlayStation 4 VR” system is almost here and the company has been sending out samples of the headset to relevant figures, many of whom have been doing unboxing videos of the bundle. As the company responsible for the product, Sony decided to do an unboxing video as well, with Sid Shuman himself showcasing the bundle.

The hardware for the “PS4 VR” bundle seems pretty straightforward, the International Business Times reports. It includes the virtual reality headset, of course, as well as a pair of headphones. It also comes with an external processing unit as well as a power source and some USB cables.

From the get-go, players will be able to experience the full capabilities of the VR headset thanks to the 18 digital VR titles already stored in the hardware. With that alone, Sony is providing players with a meaningful way of getting the most out of the product.

Naturally, customers won’t be satisfied with some random VR simulators, which is why the bundle also comes with several games. These include “Battlezone” and “Driveclub VR,” as well as “EVE:Valkyrie, Gnog” and the much awaited “Here They Lie.” For fans of some optical artistry mixed with the violence of gunfights, the bundle also comes with “Rez Infinite.”

Another highly anticipated title for the PS4 VR is “Resident Evil 7” and according to Push Square, it will be exclusive to the Sony console for a year. “Batman: Arkham VR” will be a timed exclusive as well, though it will only be until March 2017.

The matter of exclusivity makes sense from a business standpoint since Sony is taking a huge risk by releasing “PS4 VR” close to the release of the “PS4 Pro.” By keeping the VR version of the seventh installment of the survival horror franchise on their boat for a year, the Japanese company stands a better chance at actually meeting their bottom line.
