‘Sacred Games’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers: When Will the Series Return? Who Is Khanna Guru Ji?

Sacred Games.Series Trailer MP/YouTube

The return date for “Sacred Games” Season 2 has yet to be officially announced, but there are already rumors with regards to when the series will be coming back. This Indian thriller is currently assumed to return in July with all of its characters. It would seem that the plot will also focus on the bombing that will take place soon and someone named Khanna Guru Ji (Pankaj Tripathi) will play a central role.

As Business Times reports, “Sacred Games” Season 2 was recently leaked to come back this summer but this is based simply on when the first season came out. The series might not even be coming out this year until Netflix officially announces otherwise. Fans will want to temper their expectations until then to avoid disappointments.

On the matter of what viewers can expect in terms of the plot of “Sacred Games” Season 2, the biggest sticking point is still the threat of the nuclear bomb that is expected to explode in 25 days. That would be counting the start of the first season. Beginning in the second, Inspector Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) will only have 14 days to solve this mystery or there will be deaths.

The crime lord Khanna Guru Ji will supposedly be a major player in this particular development of the story, where the threat is a nuclear explosion in “Sacred Games” Season 2. It was mentioned that he is a close figure to Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and had a major influence in shaping him. Tripathi certainly did not waste time praising his character to the high heavens in a recent interview.

"Guruji is a larger-than-life part and will become the most sought-after character in the series," he said. "My character becomes as big as Gaitonde."

As to whether or not this is true will be determined when “Sacred Games” Season 2 comes out. Fans will simply have to wait until then.
