It is getting clearer now that the "One Punch Man" season 2 Blu-ray/DVD release will be similar to the first season as each volume comes out with a new original video animation (OVA). Volume 4 of the season 2 home media release is confirmed to ship with a special episode revolving around another adventure of Saitama and Genos titled "Games and Rivals."

‘One Punch Man’ season 2 OVA 4 spoilers: Saitama and Genos join a video game contest

OVAs feature non-canon stories with situational plots and conflicts that get resolved by the end of the episode. The first two-minutes of “One Punch Man” season 2 OVA 4 has been shown in a promotional trailer revealing that it would also feature Garou. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed King seemingly hiding as he wears a mask.

The trailer shows Saitama and Genos attending what looks like a launching event for a video game called “Wild Animals.” The promo video’s description indicates that the duo will be joining an online competition of the game. Due to the contest format, Saitama and Genos will be playing in their chosen venue while Garou and King will join in separate locations, too.

Saitama decides to enter the competition because of the cash prize. Considering the title of “One Punch Man” season 2 OVA 4, King and Garou could become Saitama and Genos’ main opponents.

Unfortunately, Viz Media has yet to announce whether “One Punch Man” season 2 Blu-ray/DVD copies will be released outside Japan. At this point, the promo trailer does not even have an English subtitle. Volume 4 will be released on Jan. 28. The first three installments were released each month since last October, while the two remaining volumes will be out in February and March.

‘One Punch Man’ season 3 announcement did not happen at Jump Festa 2020

Jump Festa 2020, which took place last month in Chiba, Japan, was the best time for “One Punch Man” season 3 to be announced last year. But since it did not happen, it appears that fans are looking at another prolonged waiting game. It is also unlikely for any major announcement to arrive before all the season 2 home media copies are released.
