A new trailer for “One Punch Man” Season 2 has been recently released and fans are polarized what to think about its animation. While the previous entry dazzled fans worldwide how well each sequence has been brought to life, it seems that the quality of the second installment has taken quite the hit.

And fans are taking notice of this change, Comicbook reported. Some are pointing out that J.C. Staff’s work pales in comparison to the incredible animation that Madhouse achieved in the first installment. Meanwhile, others are still hoping that “One Punch Man” Season 2 will have better quality overall, particularly in the fight scenes that will occur.

Part of the reason why this upcoming entry is highly-anticipated by the anime community is that it will introduce one of the most dynamic villains in the manga: Garou. A former student of Bang, Garou will act as the main antagonist of “One Punch Man” Season 2 and will cross path with the members of the Hero Association at some point during the story.

He’s expected to exchange blows with Genos, Metal Bat, and even Saitama himself. “One Punch Man” Season 2 will also be introducing another character who will be adding to the humorous side of the shonen series. The character in question is King.

He can be seen in the trailers of “One Punch Man” Season 2 where he’s being billed as a powerful individual. In truth, however, King is merely a fraud and has gotten away with all his lies by simply bluffing his way out of every serious situation. Villains would usually give this hero a wide berth as his reputation usually precedes him.

With all these characters being added into the ensemble and the mystery of Saitama’s powers hanging over everyone’s head, it’s no wonder that fans are excited about “One Punch Man” Season 2. Indeed, even though the series’ following are still on the fence what to make of J.C. Staff’s work, most are still willing to put up with it as the plot is more than enough to convince people to watch it. The second installment is slated for release next month with a special episode airing on April 2.
