Lee Min Ho is definitely one of the most popular actors in South Korea. It cannot be denied that his dramas helped propel him to stardom, which just proved that he chose his projects well.

Most of Min Ho’s dramas have unique storylines regardless of the genre. This means that whether it is a romantic film, a fantasy, or an action drama or movie, his roles always gain attention from the viewers. The good responses on his dramas landed him jobs as the lead actor, and here are his top 3 dramas that everyone should watch.

Boys Over Flowers

“Boys Over Flowers” is the 2009 production that made Lee min Ho popular. Teens love this show because many can relate to some situations tackled in the drama. Of course, older people also like it so much due to the romantic love story that they can relate to.

The actor starred as Koo Jun Pyo, the leader of the F4, a group of wealthy and handsome high schoolers that girls in the school want to date. He fell in love with Geum Jan Di; a girl enrolled in a prestigious school, although they are not rich. Their first meeting was unfortunate, and Jan Di got bullied by Jun Pyo before they started to be friends and fell in love.

The Heirs

As shared on Channel Korea, Min Ho is Kim Tan in this 2013 drama, and this is another one of his roles where he is a chaebol or a very wealthy individual whose family owns a big business conglomerate. Park Shin Hye is his leading lady here, and it was a hit drama.

Kim Tan was sent to the U.S. because his older brother wants to prevent him from taking over their company. In America, he met Cha Eun Sang, and they fell in love despite the fact that he is already engaged to Yoo Rachel. They met again in Korea, and Eun Sang turned out to be the daughter of one of their maids, and they go to the same high school.

Legends of the Blue Sea

Before he enlisted in the army, Lee Min Ho starred in “Legends of the Blue Sea” with Jun Ji Hyun. This was in 2016, and as usual, the drama is a blockbuster that consistently recorded high viewership ratings.

This is a fantasy drama, and Lee Min Ho played different characters. He is a reincarnation of governor Dam Ryung, who lived in 1598 and fell in love with a mermaid. They were tragically separated, and the actor’s character kept on being reborn until the present day when he became Heo Joon Jae, a conman. He met the mermaid again who continued to live, and she recognizes Dam Ryung even when he's reborn many times.
