‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Cast, Updates: Jamie Dornan Addressed Talks of Full Frontal Nudity as Christian Grey, Doesn’t Want his Children to Watch Dark Roles

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ lead actor Jamie Dornan addressed rumors of full frontal nudity for his character Christian Grey. He remained vague about it and suggested that viewers wait for the second film to come out. He also admitted that he doesn’t want his children to watch his dark roles as he is more mindful as a parent.

According to Hollywood Life, Dornan was asked for the truth behind speculations of his character Christian Grey doing some full frontal nudity for the upcoming second installment in the erotic drama film series. He only replied, “The truth is that I don’t know the answer to that. You’ll have to wait and see.”

It was previously reported by Star Magazine that Dornan will be showing off more skin for $1.5 million. He was to be given full creative control of the scene by the film’s producers should he decide to do it. The report is yet to be confirmed.

The 34-year old Northern Irish model-turned-actor was first introduced as Christian in Sam-Taylor Johnson’s 2015 film ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. Christian is a successful young business mogul secretly obsessed with BDSM. Dornan gained international acclaim for the role.

The film received generally negative reviews from critics but achieved massive commercial success and broke several box office records. Taylor-Johnson’s film earned $570.98 million worldwide against a production budget of $40 million, according to The Numbers.

During an interview with ET, he was asked what it was like to return to the character for the second time. He replied, “I felt more comfortable the second time around. There was a lot of pressure the first time. I think when you’re making the first film of any franchise there is a lot of pressure in terms of setting a tone and the way it’s shot and the way it’s played and finding your feet with it.”

He continued, “It was very strange that I came into that job six weeks before they started filming, which is totally unheard of in a franchise of that size -- and not the way you want to go into any job, really. This time I felt I had a lot more time on my hands. And the pressure seemed to be off a bit with every department because the first one made so much money. Everyone was in a better place about it. So it was definitely a better experience.”

Dornan also admitted that he wouldn’t allow his own daughters to watch his darker roles for quite a long time. He said, “Maybe not the Fifty side of things, but if they wanted to watch that one day and see what daddy does, then that’s cool. I am mindful that I have two children now.”

He added, “There is part of me that does want to do something they can watch soon -- that is kind of lighthearted -- because I don’t consider myself a dark or menacing person despite what I portray onscreen. I definitely want to have the opportunity to show other sides as well.”

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ is an upcoming erotic drama film directed by James Foley and written for the big screen by Niall Leonard. It is intended as the second installment in the cinematic adaptations based on E.L. James’ erotic novels of the same name. It is scheduled to be released on February 10, 2017 in the United States.
