‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Season 4 Air Date, Plot, Characters: Is the Horror Series Already Dead?

“Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 is about to end and its penultimate episode saw Jim (Aaron Stanford) succumbing to the wound he received from a walker. Before he died, however, the character did provide the recipe for his beer and sacrificed himself to save the crew, TV Line reported.

The whole group is pretty much together again after they were separated by circumstance and that deluge that got Strand (Colman Domingo) and Dorie (Garret Dillahunt) marooned. Fortunately for both of them, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was there to pull them out of their situation by using the SWAT van she took from Martha (Tonya Pinkins). But what’s a bit bothersome is that the alligator-infested water wasn’t all that deep as the “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 made it out to be.

Instead, it seems to only go about knee-deep. But even so, one can still argue that the water has somehow receded by now and it being knee-deep doesn’t take away the fact that there are still alligators below its murky surface. After the whole crew managed to get back together with only Jim as the latest casualty, “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 is going to be dealing with Martha.

This installment’s main antagonist managed to escape her bondage inside the SWAT van and the group was surprised the woman managed it at all. As such, “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4’s finale is setting up a fight between the crew and the psychopathic Filthy Woman.

But fans are already finding it difficult to root for the heroes as showrunners handled the post-apocalyptic drama rather poorly when it started. After the deaths of Madison (Kim Dickens) and Nick (Frank Dillane), there wasn’t really anyone to root for in “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4. What’s more, most of the remaining cast members are newcomers while the original group was reduced to the rank they have now.

It’s gotten so bad that fans are saying that the only good thing about “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 is how it makes “The Walking Dead” watchable again. This is quite the criticism as “The Walking Dead” itself is already dying. And its death spiral is expected to conclude once the next season starts given that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) are going to be exiting. The finale for “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4 will air on Sept. 30 but there’s little excitement about it now.
