Leaked information hinting at the imminent debut of the highly anticipated Kirin PC chip alongside the release of new Qingyun notebooks. The introduction of this computer-dedicated CPU marks a significant milestone for Huawei, poised to revolutionize the computing landscape.
Anticipated Launch
The Kirin PC chip has long been known to be under development, and it appears that Huawei is set to introduce it to the new Qingyun notebooks, as per Huawei Central. According to a leak, the computer-dedicated CPU is on its way and will likely be on stage soon.
If all goes well, according to Weibo tipster @FixedFocus, Huawei may introduce the self-developed Kirin PC CPU with the Qingyun Notebook series in May or June.
According to reports, the corporation may initially produce Kirin PC chip notebooks for enterprise clients. However, consumers should expect a new computer-dedicated processor for MateBook in the second half of this year.
Some early reports claimed Huawei plans to debut several goods this month, including wearables, smartphones, and notebooks. However, the list of expected devices currently excludes Qingyun models.
As a result, the Kirin PC processor is expected to make its commercial debut next month. However, the leak's accuracy is unclear because Huawei has not acknowledged the news yet.
Tech Advancement
According to recent rumors, the Kirin PC could feature the Taishan V130 core architecture and perform similarly to the Apple M3. The corporation may launch chip variants such as the Apple M3 Pro and Max.
Previous leaks proposed the following CPU architecture for the Kirin PC:
- 4 x Taishan large cores
- 4 x Taishan mid-cores
- 2 x large cores of NPU (Ascend Lite)
- 2 x micro cores of NPU (Ascend Mini)
The processor could be paired with the Maleoon 910 GPU, 32GB RAM, a 2TB SSD, and two or three USB 4.0 ports. The GPU is supposed to provide Apple M2-like performance with efficient graphic representations. It would be interesting to see what improvements the Kirin PC chip would bring on board in the coming weeks.
